Spring Cleaning and Open Resources

Like so many things in 2020, spring cleaning is a bit more challenging this year. With donation centers across the country closing because of the Coronavirus, many people are anxiously waiting for them to reopen to that they can drop off items they no longer need. Goodwill is still not accepting donations but some other places around the Twin Cities have opened back up for donations.

Bridging  – They accept furniture, housewares, small appliances and electronics, mirrors, artwork and frames. Current hours are Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 6:00 pm & Friday – Saturday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Arc – Is currently accepting clothing and housewares. Donations are accepted 10 AM – 1 PM daily but they recommend calling prior to coming to donation lanes. The lanes are operating at full capacity right now.

Ramsey County Yard Waste – Spring cleaning usually includes yard work. Bring unwanted yard waste to this location for free disposal. Hours are currently: Monday: 11 am – 7 pm, Tuesday: closed, Wednesday: 11 am – 7 pm, Thursday: closed, Friday: 11 am – 7 pm, Saturday: 9 am – 5 pm, Sunday: 11 am – 5 pm.

Salvation Army – They have reopened this week and are accepting donations. Please note, some locations may limit what kind of items will be accepted. Check your local store for current hours.

Let us know if there is an organization that is accepting donations that we don’t have listed. We’d love to add them to the list and support them during this time.
