While the weather is still nice, camping is a great way to get outside and enjoy! Minnesota has beautiful state parks and forests that offer camping sites for a fairly inexpensive cost. The state parks and forests are all over the state and offer a variety of different options for activities. Almost every park has some trails and hiking, but you can also choose a park that has a lake to fish and swim as well. Head down to the southern parts of the state and enjoy the cliffs of sandstone and beautiful views of the prairie.
The DNR website also allows customers to search not just by the park name but also by the camping site access details. Kelly and her husband took their two young boys camping for the first time this year and so having a drive-in site was important as they weren’t sure how everything would play out the first time.
Another option are KOA Campgrounds. Many times they have a few more amenities than the state park campgrounds. There are 7 in Minnesota and many more throughout the midwest.
We hope you get a chance to unwind and enjoy some time outdoors this summer. We look forward to seeing pictures of your adventures on social media!
