We had an amazing time volunteering with the Lakeville Yellow Ribbon this month. We’ve been wanting to get on their calendar for several months and we finally found a time to team up with them. We served at their monthly luncheon and got a chance to meet some of the local veterans. All of the events that the Lakeville Yellow Ribbon puts on are free to all of the Veterans who participate. This month, the menu was Asian and it is a favorite of the participants. Since the main course was covered, we brought dessert. One of the best parts of this event is that we got to pick a table and chat with the Veterans while we were eating. It is so nice to get to know some more Veterans in our community and have a chance to thank them for their service to our country.
