We spent time this month at one of our very favorite organizations. Every Third Saturday’s mission aligns so closely with what we believe in and want to support. We spent time this month helping go through donations and stock the supply store. Veterans & their families can make appointments to shop in the store Monday – Friday. All the items are free for veterans. The most popular items that are needed are jeans in every size, new T-shirts and larger hooded sweatshirts. About 40% of the veterans who Every Third Saturday serve are experiencing homelessness or are in transitional housing. They also have sections for dress clothes for interviews and for those who need to unfortunately attend a funeral. We love supporting this organization and try to schedule a volunteering shift regularly. You can see more photos from our time there on our instagram page.
