Volunteering with the Lakeville Community Food Shelf

We got a chance to help at the Lakeville Community Food Shelf this month. It is located within Messiah Lutheran Church and run in partnership with 360 Community Services. It is one of the only food shelves that 360 partners with that is entirely volunteer led! We received several deliveries that were delayed a day because of the snow storm. We sorted all the food to stock the shelves for appointments on Saturday.

The food shelf receives food rescue deliveries from all across the south metro usually delivered by volunteers. Families can shop by appointment on Mondays, Wednesdays & Saturdays. We loved getting a chance to learn about this resource for local families and were amazed by the volunteers that run it.

We’d love to volunteer at an organization that you support. Please reach out to us if you know of a program that could use our help!
