We had the opportunity this month to help set up for the annual Taste of the Fair event at the Presbyterian Homes of Bloomington. If you are a resident there, you don’t need to worry about making it to the State Fair because they bring the fair to you! This is an annual event that is free for residents and includes fair food, games, a petting zoo, a car show, and even an Elvis impersonator.

On the day we volunteered, we were fortunate to have beautiful weather for the outside festivities. We set up various carnival games such as Pick a Duck, Ring Toss, and even a Dunk tank. It was fun to help decorate and we could not have asked for nicer staff members to guide us. It was clear to see that how much they care for the residents by the amount of time and thought they put into planning such a fun event!
