The Minnesota State Fair is here and there are several new foods to try this year. We chose to highlight the three below not only because they look extra tasty, but also because we appreciate how they are named.

All Quacked Up!
With a name like this, of course we had to highlight this one! Described as fried, farm-fresh duck egg from Graise Farm in Faribault atop shaved smoked ham, aged cheddar cheese, tomato and spinach, served open-face on toasted sourdough bread with paprika aioli. Delicious! Find this at The Hideaway Speakeasy located in the Veranda, Grandstand upper level, northwest section.

Gray Duck Sundae
Duck, Duck, Gray Duck Sundae! This desert features Bridgeman’s Black Licorice Ice Cream topped with marshmallow cream, crunchy mini marshmallows, whipped cream and a cherry. What more could you ask for?Bridgeman’s Ice Cream is located at the northeast corner of Judson Ave. & Liggett St.

Chick N Swiss Sausage
Although it is chicken rather than duck, we had to include this one too. Described as grilled chicken sausage custom-made with chunks of Swiss cheese and asparagus, ground pineapple, bacon and jalapeño, served on a bun. Sign me up! This can be found at the Gass Station Grill located on the west side of Cooper St. between Dan Patch & Judson avenues, outside southeast corner of the Food Building.
