Volunteering with District 191 Community Pantry

This month we had the opportunity to volunteer with District 191 Community Pantry at the Diamondhead Education Center in Burnsville. The 191 Community Pantry is available year-round and provides free food to anyone in need. Recipients receive a grocery bag of non-perishable items and a small box of assorted produce.

Our responsibility was to bag the groceries and then set the bags up outside where people could pull right up to the curb and have them loaded into their cars. We were impressed by how well the process was set up and how smoothly it ran.

The Pantry is open the first and third Tuesdays of each month, from 2-4 p.m. or until food runs out. Food is available to the public.

We’d love to volunteer at an organization that you support. Please reach out to us if you know of a program that could use our help!
