Summer Market Update

Team Lucky Duck is excited to share what is going on in the Twin Cities Real Estate market this summer. The inventory of homes for sale has been low all year. This trend has continued with almost 2,500 less homes for sale in May 2017 versus May 2016 according to Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors. The demand has affected the average sale price of homes as well. Per the Minneapolis Area Association of Realtors, the average sales price in the Twin Cities region is up to $240,000 for 2017 year to date, compared to $226,000 for 2016. Luckily, for our buyers, interest rates are still at historical lows. So, even as home prices increase, our buyers’ purchasing power is protected with the low rates.

With the low inventory of homes for sale, many listings are having multiple offers presented. Team Lucky Duck has represented several clients through multiple offer situations this spring and summer. We’ve created tactics that are allowing our buyers to have their offer accepted and get the home they want and helping our sellers get top dollar for their homes! Carly has helped 7 buyers win in multiple offers so far this spring and summer.
