With Memorial Day fast approaching, summer calendars are filling up fast with barbeques, family vacations and other gatherings. We’ve compiled a list of free, local events that are happening in the South Metro.
Burnsville hosts outdoor movies in their Flicks on the Bricks events. Shows begin at dusk on select Friday nights throughout the summer at Nicollet Commons Park. For the schedule and more information, click here.

Just down the road, the city of Savage celebrates its most famous resident during its annual event, Dan Patch Days. This year it falls on June 22 through June 25. Saturday boosts a full day of activities and finishes the celebration with fireworks. For the full schedule, click here.
Rosemount’s Leprechaun Days includes a full week of events from July 21 through July 30. This event includes carnival rides, food and music with a firework show to finish off the weekend. For details and more information, click here.
Farmington hosts a Music and Movies in the Park series as well as their annual Dew Days on June 13-17. Dew Days is a celebration of summer complete with a parade, several contests and a run.
