We had the opportunity to serve the residents at Winsor Senior Plaza in Lakeville with the Open Door this past week. It is one of the Open Door’s mobile pantry locations. The Open Door provides a great option for residents to shop the food pantry right within their complex. We helped to set up the shopping location and then helped seniors make selections from the groceries that were available. Participants always get choices of meats, veggies, fruit, milk, eggs, other produce and then miscellaneous items like snacks, baking supplies, nuts breads, bakery items, etc. We love supporting both the Open Door and the local seniors in our backyard.
